The ESA-X electric flush activation system enables convenient, hygienic and cordless flushing of the toilet. The system makes everyday life much easier, particularly in accessible bathrooms or care facilities. The flush is activated simply by pressing a button attached to the support rail. The transmitter is securely attached to the support rails using a bracket. When the button is pressed, it sends a radio signal to a flush-mounted receiver installed in the wall near the cistern. The receiver relays the signal to the toilet control unit, thereby triggering the flush – without the need for any direct wiring to the support rails themselves.

Several components are combined to operate the system. The basis is a suitable support rail, which can be chosen as either a folding or fixed version, depending on requirements. The bracket is mounted on this rail, to which the transmitter is in turn attached. The transmitter is available in a battery-free version (piezo button) and can optionally be selected with an emergency call function. The system is complemented by a flush-mounted receiver, which receives the radio signal and forwards it to the toilet control unit. A transformer, which is also housed within the installation area, is required for operation. Its function is to convert the existing mains voltage of 230 V into a low and safe operating voltage (4–24 V DC). This voltage is required to ensure that the receiver operates reliably and that the signals are correctly transmitted to the toilet control unit.
